The Memorial Garden, located at 1919 Lincoln Street in Columbia, South Carolina, was the first garden in the United States established to honor veterans of World War II. Located adjacent to the Governor's Mansion, it is made available for tours and private rental as well as GCSC special celebrations on Veteran's Day, Memorial Day and other important dates. Upkeep of this beautiful garden requires approximately $15,000 per year and all donations are restricted to this purpose. Donations of any amout to the Legacy Program for renovations and upkeep  should be  earmaked Legacy Program.

Would you like to remember a loved one with a special honorarium to the Memorial Garden? We have two ways to assist you.

A $100.00 donation may be made in honor of a loved one here. Your loved one will receive special recognition from our Memorial Garden Trustees Committee and you will receive a tax deductible donation receipt.

You may also honor a veteran with an engraved brick with their name and service information. The brick will become a permanent part of our honor walk at the garden. To purchase a memorial brick for a donation of $500.00, Click here.
